The chief director, Gordon Chang, was a Biology teacher in Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University. He has taught thousands of students in 10 and more tuition institution that were dedicated to help their student enter top universities and medical schools.

As an immigrant to Aotearoa himself, Gordon knew the significance of education for his and others' children. Starting out as a private tuition school for international students, SCE has now became one of the leading tutorial schools in New Zealand's Chinese community.

Gordon is now a father of four and has over three thousands students that are now working in the field of medical science. He hosts the radio talk show, “Success comes from education” at AM936 and a column in New Zealand Chinese Herald
