The University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT ANZ) is an admissions test used by the UCAT ANZ Consortium of universities in Australia and New Zealand for their medical, dental and clinical science degree programs. It is a computer-based test delivered in Pearson VUE test centers throughout Australia, New Zealand and other oversea locations. In two hours, each applicant is assessed in five separately timed topics, each of which contains a number of questions in the multiple-choice format.
Since 2019, the UCAT ANZ has effectively replaced UMAT and helped universities select applicants with the most appropriate abilities and professional behaviours required for new doctors and dentists. It is now an essential part of admission requirement used in collaboration with other application processes such as interviews and academic qualifications.
